Benefits

Two differently designed spacer configurations: Model IP1416, standard color black, to accommodate 14, 15 and 16-inch wheels (three load bearing channels) and Model IP1721, standard color gray, to accommodate 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21-inch wheels (two load bearing channels).

Both spacers seat on top and bottom of our compatible skid, Model IP1421, standard color black.

All three pieces are color coded and have the same perimeter dimensions

(54” L x 45.5” W) (137 cm x 116 cm)

Enhanced wheel manufacturer capability to accommodate most all wheel sizes during placement and movement without exposing wheels to external damage or damage arising from contact between the wheels themselves.

Ladder style construction

Elimination of water, fluid and dust collection areas of spacer.

Elimination of spacer warpage.

Fewer reworks from painting due to wheel surface contamination from spacers.

Single Unit Construction – no joints, welds, nails or other fastening methods

Minimal spacer breakage

Total wheel protection:

All wheel flanges set in at least ½ inch (1.3 cm) from perimeter ends of spacer.

All wheels have at least ½ inch margin between flanges of adjacent load-bearing channels.

All wheels have at least ½ inch margin between flanges above and below spacer

Fewer reworks due to wheel surface damage.

No need to have to position wheels on spacer to avoid flange contact.

Spacer for larger wheels (17,18,19, 20 and 21-inch) has wider load-bearing channels allowing for consistent fork truck acceleration/deceleration regardless of which wheel size or spacer is being moved.

Minimum acceleration/deceleration time to and from 15 mph  (24 Kmph) (22 ft./sec) (6.7m/sec) is 1.53 seconds for Model IP1416 and 1.58 seconds for Model IP1721.

Minimal wheel damage due to fork truck operator error.

Top and bottom of spacer are mirror images.

Ease of use and increased productivity of factory floor personnel.

Spacers will accommodate 230° F (110° C) wheels from heat treat.

No need for different spacer constructed of wood, metal or other more expensive material due to higher temperature from heat treat.

Bottom spacer in fully loaded three-skid stack of 108 wheels capable of withstanding 7,500 lbs. (3,375 Kg) without damage to spacer (Model IP1416).

No damaged spacers due to heavy loads.

Spacer material resistant to strong acids, bases, alkaloids and other harsh chemicals.

Can be used in most manufacturing areas without damage to spacer from harsh elements.

Spacer material possesses a high flexural modulus.

Spacer will return to original configuration, even when different sized wheels have been heavily loaded on the same spacer.

Elimination of spacer breakage debris on factory floor.

Cleaner, safer working environment.

Light weight – only 17 lbs. (7.6 Kg) for Model IP1416 and only 21.5 lbs. (9.7 Kg) for Model IP1721.  Compatible skid Model IP1421 weighs 45 lbs. (20.4 Kg)
